VyperCore's modified RISC-V processor will incorporate our novel hardware memory allocation management technology. This fundamental remodelling of hardware memory interfaces enables us to accelerate modern managed-language software, such as Python and C#, by up to a factor of 10. We can even achieve a >1.5x speedup on software written in older languages like C and C++.

Initially we are focusing on application software (as opposed to low-level system software) where we can maintain source code compatibility across languages (from Python to C/C++.) This will enable deployment of our accelerator card in data centers without developers needing to change their programs. Tweaked versions of popular open-source compilers and runtimes will be made available for early customers to retarget their applications. This is made much easier for us as the RISC-V community is already well underway porting tools to the architecture.

Moreover, the current manufacturing practice of selectively placing millions of tiny RGB LEDs is an extremely challenging and cost-prohibitive process.

As a stealth startup, we have developed a series of innovations that revolutionize microLED technology, from material growth to device fabrication and assembly. High Frequency Radar

The 300GHz operating frequency and solid-state beam forming give us superpowers, enabling never-before applications.

The electromagnetic energy efficiently transmits through fabrics, plastics, paper and cardboard. Allowing us to see and measure in 3D what is concealed under clothing, or what is inside cardboard boxes.

The solid-state beam forming means we can steer the beam with sub-degree accuracy, making our radar more like a cellphone camera than a traditional radar, with high image resolution, low power and portability.

At Lemurian, our goal is to make deep learning affordable and available for everyone, from the individual researcher to industry.

The Lemurian SPU (Spatial Processing Unit) is more than an order of magnitude more efficient in terms of memory and power in comparison with legacy processors, whilst also being faster in inference.

Our processor makes use of a novel digital arithmetic which has been designed specifically in order to speed up matrix-vector multiplications which largely make up modern deep neural networks, whilst also reducing hardware complexity.

Our arithmetic and processor architecture results in tremendous power and memory savings, thereby making our processor more affordable and well suited to inference at the edge.

The next generation 5G network will form the backbone of the fourth industrial revolution. We believe that by 2030 the planet will be blanketed by E-band connectivity. Existing E-band front-ends are bulky (~size of shoe-box), expensive (~$11k) and power hungry – and are not suited for small cell and massive MIMO.

Multifractal is addressing this problem by developing fully integrated E-band front-ends on a single chip, in silicon (CMOS / BiCMOS). Our front-end chips will make E-band front-ends so small (size of a match-box), and so cheap (~$20), that they will cover every lamp-post and every street corner!

Multifractal's enabling technology is the ability to create high-Q E-band filters (and diplexers) on-chip in silicon and integrate them directly (still on chip) with the LNA, PA, switches and mixers, all in cheap mass producible silicon. Our customers can then feed the output of our IC directly into the digital back-end, reducing their front-end design, size, cost and effort. They do not have to worry about the RF – we do all that for them! This will enable miniaturization of the entire E-band front-end, for the first time allowing small cell and massive MIMO.
